Occasionally I look up. Past the trees and the stars. I imagine a world of black, and a warmth surrounding me from my nose to my toes. Something like a blanket. Protective and always there.
I open my eyes
and look from the skies
to the world around us

the musk.
My fingers tingle from the warmth of your hand
